I'm Rolando Pujol, and this is The Retrologist, my history blog that's mainly focused on New York City but will travel wherever there's a bit of cool history hiding in plain sight.
I'm the digital content manager at WPIX-TV Channel 11, the CW station in New York. I oversee the website as well as social media and digital strategy.
I've also hosted a New York history show that helped inspire The Retrologist, "Hidden City," on WNBC-TV's New York Nonstop.
I was previously a multimedia editor at the New York Daily News, where I oversaw the America edition of the homepage in the evening. I've also been a managing editor at amNewYork and an assistant city editor at Newsday.
I'm also a gold-star certified NYC tour guide, and love to spend my time off simply walking around New York and finding new material for The Retrologist. Thanks for stopping by.
